Let’s go for a Beginners Foraging Walk in Stafford!  We’ll be meeting in the parking lot by the Castle Visitors Centre (please see the map)  OPEN TO EVERYONE

This is a Special Event as we will be touring the Castle’s Medieval Herb Garden!

I will be talking extensively about the medicinal & culinary plants, flowers and herbs that were grown in the garden in the 15th Century, what they were used for and how they were prepared…. I love this garden and I’m sure you will too!

Once we leave the Medieval Garden, we will walk the path around Stafford Castle, and perhaps take a dip into the forest too.  This path is a bit rugged, and hilly in places.

As we’ll be ducking into the bush here and there, and of course dealing with some rather “irritating” plants, lol- Be sure to wear long trousers and long sleeve shirts/jackets (regardless of the weather!), and wellies or sturdy walking shoes.  We also recommend bringing gardening gloves (for those “irritating” plants!), and bringing bags or baskets for any goodies that you collect along the way!  …Notebooks & Cameras are also a good idea too!
